For fresh herbs to grow from the pencil, it requires active care and attention. The pencil contains a water-activated seed capsule at the end. When wet, the seed decomposes and starts to germinate. Now water your Sprout regularly and make sure it gets plenty of direct sunlight. In 2 to 3 weeks the pen will germinate, in 4 to 5 weeks you can use your fresh herbs for cooking.
