Vegan jeans & denim for women - without a leather patch

Vegan jeans are not very different from conventional jeans, with the significant difference that they do not have a leather patch. This little piece of leather is probably one of the most superfluous remnants of a bygone era that no one needs nowadays.

Since jeans and denim clothing are made of cotton, most garments are already vegan by themselves and then a leather patch is sewn on at the very end to give the whole thing the 'finishing touch'. This has nothing to do with quality or tradition, it is simply an accent that not only causes animal suffering but is also bad for the environment. Much better to use a patch made of kraft paper or just leave it out altogether.

Although we naturally pay the most attention to the vegan aspect, we are not indifferent to the other factors. For example, we focus on organic cotton and fairly paid work. We offer fair fashion jeans that are not only made from sustainable materials, but also stand out because of their rivets made from recycled brass.

This is not usually the case with brands that sew on leather patches. There is a trend emerging - often the brands that sew on leather patches are not the most sustainable and certainly not the fairest when it comes to the working conditions of the people who make these trousers.

It's different with us, we respect people and animals and are committed to a better world. If you also want to shop more consciously and respectfully, you can do so in our online marketplace.
