Weltecke - organic millet grain chamber pillow

Bio Millet Grain Chamber Pillow

Millet is a collective name for small-fruited spelt cereals with 10 to 12 genera. They belong to the family of sweet grasses (Poaceae). The name millet originates from Old Germanic (ahd. hirsa in addition to hirsi and hirso) and is derived from an Indo-Germanic word for "satiety, nourishment, nutritiousness". Millet is the oldest known cereal. It was used to make unleavened flatbread as early as 8000 years ago. In China, panicle millet has been used agriculturally for at least 4000 years. Panicum millet or true millet (Panicum miliaceum) used to be grown as food in Europe as well. In this country, it is no more than birdseed to most people, although millet has much more to offer. In some areas of Africa, the millet is still one of the staple foods.
