Bio Olive Leaf Tea
This novel aromatic tea is made from freshly dried tea leaves of the olive tree. Drunk in the evening, it shows a relaxing effect and can be helpful in sleep disorders.

Oleuropein:
In olive oil and in the leaves of the olive tree are found active substances called iridoids. One of the iridoids, oleuropein, is found mainly in the leaves of the olive tree. This active ingredient is produced by the olive tree to protect it from damage caused by insects and bacteria. It thus strengthens the tree's resistance (for example, some species of ants use iridoids as a defense). Oleuropein is also found in olive oil, but it is particularly concentrated in olive leaves.
Preparation: about 250 ml

Place 1 to 2 teaspoons of the leaves in a cup, pour boiling water over it. Let steep for 10 to 15 minutes according to taste, strain and sweeten with sugar or honey if necessary. Whole olive leaves please crush beforehand, so that the ingredients can develop better.
