Cherry Bomb - organic cotton and bamboo tea towel, fish and stones

Fish and stones. Natural-colored tea towel made from fairly produced organic cotton and bamboo. Hand-printed with solvent-free screen printing ink.

The cotton is untreated and unbleached and may have minor irregularities. These are production-related.

The delivery includes 1 tea towel.

Since I print each cloth myself by hand, the position of the motif may differ slightly from the one shown and since I mix the colors myself with screen printing paste and pigments, the color may also differ slightly from the one shown in each reprint.

60% cotton (organic)
40% viscose (bamboo)

Why organic cotton?
The cotton is grown without the use of pesticides. The organic farmers rely on natural pest control and they also use crop rotation technology, i.e. the cotton plants are not grown in the same place for years, but alternate with vegetables according to a rotation principle. This preserves soil fertility and avoids monoculture.

WHY BAMBOO VISCOSE?
Bamboo viscose is a natural regenerated fiber. Bamboo itself does not have a fiber-like structure like cotton. It is therefore obtained using the wet spinning process. For tea towels, it has the further advantage that it absorbs a lot of liquid, which means that the cloths are ideal for drying glasses.

Since bamboo grows very quickly, even after it has been harvested, the plants can be left standing and harvested again and again. It needs neither pesticides nor fertilizer to grow.

WHY THE COMBINATION OF ORGANIC TREE WOOL AND BAMBOO? The best properties are combined: With bamboo viscose as an absorbent, resource-saving material in combination with organic cotton, which is cheaper to produce, you achieve higher quality yarn and a better fabric.

CRITERIA:

* vegan: 60% organic cotton and 40% bamboo viscose.

* plastic free / zero waste: plastic-free shipping packaging, washing instructions on recycled paper. Misprints are reused as test blankets and resold with many prints.

* made in europe: all textiles are printed by hand in our own workshop.

* eco / natural: textiles from controlled organic cultivation, printing inks are solvent-free, water-based and are mixed from individual components so that only as much is used as is needed. Both in my workshop and at home, I only use electricity from renewable sources.

* fair / social: textiles from fair production (fairtrade)
